Gary holds an MBA in Organizational Behavior and has a Professional Certification in Training and Development from Cornell University. He is a registered OD Consultant. Gary has held faculty positions at The City University of New York and The New School, and is currently lecturing at UCLA in the Business and Management Department.

From 1992 to '94, Gary was Chair of the Organizational Development Network, and in 1995 was named "External OD Consultant of the Year" by the Training Directors' Forum. He has been published in leading professional journals and is completing two books: Managing For The Bottom Line and The Transformation To Teams.
