A National Title Insurance Company An acquisition resulted in over 1400 employee redundancies in over 600 offices nationwide. The geographical diversity of these employees precluded group outplacement for middle and lower levels. This firm chose to use Opening New Doors® (Management/Staff), with its toll-free Counselor Support Hotline, as the career transition program for its middle-level employees. Opening New Doors® (Hourly/Non-Exempt) was also used for its lower level employees. Each person was given a copy of the program at their time of departure. A toll-free Counselor Support Hotline was added to assist thousands of rank-and-file employees to find new employment quickly and efficiently. Petroleum Refiner and Retailer Four facilities were sold to another company. The acquiring company planned to interview hundreds of employees to determine whether they would be retained. In an attempt to assist these employees, each were provided with a copy of Opening New Doors® prior to the interview, so that they could be much more effective in these discussions and negotiations. A National Accounting & Consulting Firm As one of the world's largest accounting firms, this organization has offices nationwide. For the past several years, offices throughout the country have depended upon Opening New Doors® for efficient, cost-effective outplacement assistance. Four Computer and Computer Software Companies These four "electronic information systems" companies have used Opening New Doors® as their primary outplacement program for mid- and low-level employees. Food Additive Manufacturer It became necessary to close a Los Angeles manufacturing facility. This required addressing the career transition needs of its low, middle and executive-level employees, as well as the needs of a large Spanish speaking workforce. While management wanted to provide career transition assistance for all of its employees, regardless of level of responsibility, severe cost constraints were in place. The goal of cost effective job-search counseling was achieved by using all three versions of Opening New Doors®. TTG facilitated a series of workshops, including a number in bi-lingual Spanish/English. This extensive use of Descubrir Nuevas Oportunidades®, received a high approval rating among Hispanic employees. Since the initial "first-stage" reduction, TTG has conducted a number of additional workshops, leading to the permanent closure of this facility. Manufacturer of Garden/Lawn Care Resources This was a plant closing, with considerable diversity of employee levels and ethnicity. In addition to one-on-one outplacement counseling, TTG conducted a series of workshops utilizing both Opening New Doors® and Descrubrir Nuevas Oportunidades®. The early distribution of these programs (and the opportunity for pre-workshop study) resulted in substantial time and cost savings, and considerably enhanced the effectiveness of the workshops. Hi-Tech Electronics and Aerospace Manufacturer This company began a multi-year nationwide workforce reduction. Each displaced employee was given a copy of Opening New Doors®. Each was then invited to attend an on-site workshop conducted by either TTG Consultants, or a TTG trained member of the Human Resources Department. Petroleum Refiner This major petroleum company was faced with a nationwide workforce reduction and wanted to provide outplacement assistance for all of its discharged employees. Many of these employees were located in remote, hard-to-reach areas. TTG's Opening New Doors®/Tele-Coaching Program provided the solution. Via telephone and FAX, TTG effectively provided job-search counseling, and prepared resumes for employees in offices from Alaska to Hawaii, from remote areas of Texas to Wyoming. In addition, TTG provided one-on-one assistance to many employees in the Southern California area. Bio-Medical This large "infusion care/nuclear medicine" company committed itself to an internal restructuring and divestiture program.
