ABOUT THE USE & COST-EFFECTIVENESS OF IT’S YOUR CAREER – POWER IT!® "The County of Los Angeles' Rapid Response Unit has been using It's Your Career! and its Spanish version, Descubrir Nuevas Oportunidades, since 1995. In that time, we have distributed these products to thousands of users. We continue to receive favorable comments, not only from the end users (laid-off employees, job fair participants, etc.), but the WorkSource Centers that we contract to provide one-stop services to Los Angeles County residents. The overall program curriculum, with its emphasis on a personal assessment, makes this integral to our layoff orientations (and) provides participants essential information to review time and time again, even if they never walk into one of the Centers. Although these products are used locally, they have features that would appeal to other jurisdictions."
